Hello friends, here’s a Weathering Tutorial on adding Dust Effects to your models, especially great for Maschinen Krieger and Gunpla Sci-Fi style kits.

First step after the paint and weathering steps have been completed to your liking is to add a Gloss Black background. Here I went with an acrylic lacquer so the next stage enamel effects would not activate them, plus the Gloss Black is nice and “slippery”.
Next using Enamel Thinner T-05 from Gaianotes I have thinned some AK-Interactive “Dust Effects” and strategically placed them around the lens and hatch details. Good alternatives here would also be Humbrol Cream and Tamiya Ename; Buff.
Simple, fast and effective. I’m most happy with the result and you’ll be able to see how it blends in with the rest of the finish very soon.
Happy modelling my friends!
