Navigating the Crafting World After Tokyo: My Journey and How You Can Help!

Hey everyone! As many of you know, I’ve recently been working on localizing my crafting supplies after moving back from Tokyo, and it’s been quite the adventure. I had my buying habits all set in Japan, but it’s been a challenge to find the same level of resources elsewhere. I remember Kow Sensei used to laugh with me, saying, “After getting into this hobby in Japan, you’re spoiled! Imagine trying to do this overseas.” And here I am, navigating this new landscape!

Covid didn’t make things any easier, slowing down my transition to becoming familiar with local resources. But last year, I attended my first local show, and this year, I’ve made more connections and discovered a few shops that carry the craft goods we all love.

I’m planning to share some of these new finds with you after ScaleAct this November. But in the meantime, I’d love to hear from you—where do you purchase your hobby supplies? Whether you’re in Australia, the US, Europe, or anywhere else, your tips could help others in our global community. Let’s help each other out!
