Morning friends, hope you are enjoying a great weekend!
Good news to share, I’ve been able to successfully get my hands on the final Hund for the pack. The Kyklop. My friend Gav C. reached out when I shared the photo of my collection that was missing the Kyklop and generously offered his detailed build to be included for painting. It was meant to be!
The Kyklop was I believe the third kit released in plastic after the original and then the Altair. The main upgrade is the dual neu panzerschreck and keeping the updated, larger feet from the Altair. I like how Gav has only included the dual launcher on one side as if it’s still being trialed.
Gav has done a bit of work detailing his version which is nice for storytelling. I will put it in as a development prototype between the original Hund and Dachshund for the Ground versions.
It also nicely fills out the project to have one each of all the plastic releases! Completionism is a theme right!?!
As for paint, I plan to do this one next and want to revisit “Desert Pink”. That will sit very nicely between the summer dark yellow and winter Dachshund. The plan is for a hybrid style with lacquer and acrylic paints for the finish I have in mind.
Will start laying the groundwork and the base tomorrow morning and share updates!
