NKGC to the rescue!
A quick background on the NKGC, they are a modelling community based in Italy and a fantastic group of modellers. They seem to focus mainly on Sci-Fi which is way cool too. Their members invited both my family and I over to Italy to be a guest judge back in 2014 and we had just the BEST time!
I believe this is also the first year that they have added Maschinen Krieger as a seperate category, which is just amazingly cool of them and I do hope that it’s advance sign of things to come around the world of Sci-Fi competitions too.

Model contest ONLINE (no covid )
Against the covid this year NKGC the Lucca contest will be held online and I invite you ma.k fans to participate.
For Italy, the entry into this category is a great novelty, and taking advantage of the fact that it is online gives you the opportunity to confront each other in every part of the world, I think it is a very nice thing especially for us ma.k fans and especially for this bad period.
I will help you with registration and any questions by translating (with computer help ) in all languages.

To participate, just send an email to contest@nkgcommunity.it by 11.59 pm on 22 October 2020 with 5 photos of the finished model (patchwork allowed) and 2 of the wip

- one judge for each category and one judge for the Best of Show

REGULATION NKGC LUCCA MODEL CONTEST 2020
1. REGISTRATION: Registration for the contest is completely free.
2. REGISTRATION METHOD, DELIVERY OF MODELS AND CONTEST DURATION: You can register for the contest by sending an email to contest@nkgcommunity.it with 7 photos of the model attached;
- an email must be sent for each registered model, indicating in the subject category, model name and author name (eg. Gundam Master - RX78-2 - Mario Rossi, Mecha - Knight of Gold - Paolo Bianchi);
- in the body of the email it is possible to provide a brief description of the work done (for example: box model with custom coloring);
- The photos must be in jpeg format and have a minimum size of 1500 x 1500 pixels
- 4 photos must be dedicated to the finished model, a patchwork of the details can be sent as the fifth photo of the finished model. The remaining two photographs must be related to the wip
- 1 of the photos of the finished model must be named by the competitor as "facebook" to indicate the photo that the competitor intends to have included in the gallery for the public prize
- it is advisable to send photos of the model taken on a neutral background
- Photo editing is not allowed
The registration address is already active and you can register immediately
Registrations will close on 22 October 2020 at 11.59 pm
The competing models will be announced on 23 October - without indication of the author - with the publication of a photo of the same in the public gallery. It should be noted that all the photos sent will be sent to the jurors, without indicating the author of the work.
The announcement of the winners will take place in live streaming on November 1st, with methods and times that will be announced as soon as possible.
3. NUMBER OF ENROLLABLE MODELS: The number of entries that can be presented in the competition is free.
The organization has the right not to accept models that do not comply with the regulations or are not in tune with the event or that may offend public morals.
4. RESTRICTIONS ON REGISTRATION: It is not allowed to register models that have already participated in previous editions of the NKGC Lucca model contest. N.B. MODELS ENROLLED IN THIS ONLINE EDITION WILL BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE LIVE LATER
5. COMPETITION CATEGORIES: At the time of registration, the model maker must also indicate the competition category in which to register their designs. The competition categories are as follows:

C) Maschinen Krieger (Ma.K): all mechas, vehicles and related dioramas belonging to the Maschinen Krieger series
N.B. The organization reserves the right to move a work from one category to another deemed more appropriate in the judgment.
6. EVALUATION CRITERIA: each category will be judged by a single judge, with recognized experience and competence at national and international level, who will express his judgment taking into account the following parameters: construction technique, coloring, setting, creativity and originality.
The judges will receive the photos of the models without indication of the author but classified only with an initials for the category and a progressive number.
The evaluation and consequent decisions of the jurors are unquestionable.
NOTE: The judges will not participate in the contest
7. RANKING: The categories are considered regularly formed with a minimum number of 3 registered models.
In each category, the three best models will be awarded respectively with a gold medal for the first place, silver for the second, bronze for the third. Ex aequo is possible.
8. SPECIAL PRIZES PARTNERS and SPONSOR: the Partners and Sponsors of NKGC will also assign special prizes at their sole discretion, both as regards the type of subject and for the evaluation of the same. Please refer to the list and criteria for participation in the individual announcements, as will be communicated on the NKGC Facebook page and group.
9. AUDIENCE AWARD: from 23 October the models in the Facebook gallery will be able to be voted for the award of the audience prize. The model with the most preferences will be declared the winner. Voting will close on November 1 during the award ceremony and the winner will be announced live.
10. BEST OF SHOW: the winners of the gold medal and the winners of the special prizes will compete for the award of the Best of Show which will be awarded in turn by a judge other than the judges of the individual categories
11. RIGHT TO EXPLOIT IMAGES OF THE MODELS IN CONTEST: The organization reserves the right to reproduce, print, photograph, film the models on display and use their image printed on paper, published on the web or otherwise. By registering, you explicitly authorize the use of the image of your models and, if necessary, your name as the author of the same.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATION: Each participant in the competition exhibition, by sending the registration email, undertakes to accept these regulations in its entirety.
