Why Artists Must Look for The Good?
Looking for the Good in Our Friend’s Work.
Kow Yokoyama Sensei taught me a valuable lesson many years ago. "Look for the good in other people's work."
The idea being that by focussing on what you would like to include in your own work, you will give yourself permission to allow it to be expressed.
Being negative and nit-picking other people's work leads you into a negative cycle which can also negatively impact your own work.
Art is not a de-bugging exercise.
Be kind. Be generous. Look for the good in other people's work.
The path to mastery is long. There are no shortcuts. Let’s enjoy it and make friends along the way.
Happy modelling my friend!
